NBA All-Star Weekend 2024: Live updates and highlights
The NBA All-Star Weekend 2024 is underway in Indianapolis with a packed slate.
On Saturday, Team Top Picks, Team Pacers and Team All-Stars will start the day's action in the Skills Challenge. Reigning winner of the 3-Point Contest Damian Lillard is back to defend its title against a field that includes the 2022 champions Karl Anthony cities. McClung, the winner of the 2023 Slam Dunk Contest, will also look to compete against him Jaylen Brown, Jaime Jaquez Jr. And Jacob Toppin.
Following the traditional 3-point contest Stephen Curry And Sabrina Ionescu will compete against each other in a special edition of the endurance competition.
The weekend ends with the big event on Sunday: the 73rd NBA All-Star Game. Unlike last year, which used a playground draft format where team captains made their selections before the game, a traditional East-West clash will be played for the first time since 2017.
Last year, Jayson Tatum was named MVP after dropping 55 points, the most ever in an All-Star Game. He is back as a starter and hopes to lead the Eastern Conference to a victory alongside him Giannis Antetokounmpo And Tyrese Haliburton.
