A “new” version was planned for Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that needs no introduction, so much so that there are now rumors that the title might do so Return to current generation consoles.

As also reported by Gaming Biblein fact, Sarah Bond, corporate vice president of Microsoft, mentioned RDR2 in an email to Phil Spencer, head of Xbox.
While there is speculation about the company’s fiscal year 2023 timeline, a graphic points this out “T2/RDR2”. These are believed to be the acronyms for Take-Two Interactive and Red Dead Redemption 2.
We also see a planned introduction of “FY23Q2”. Fiscal 2023 extends from April 2023 to April 2024, while Q2 is the second quarter, so this window extends from July to September 2023.
If so, the release didn’t live up to launch estimates, but that’s to be expected. The next column headed “Probability of Closure” says “very low.”
We can’t be entirely sure what this means, but it seems that Microsoft wasn’t 100% sure of Rockstar’s plans. It’s therefore unclear whether the game will actually return to current-gen consoles, but at this point the idea wasn’t entirely far-fetched.
